When is a fish club not just a fish club? When its members help change someone's life for the better. I wish I could say, "when it helps make someone rich," but we'll take it in baby steps :-). Several years back I had this nutty idea of creating an acclimation device to help transport and acclimate fish all in one container. Seemed kinda silly at the time but with the encouragement and ideas from you here on BRS the AccliMate became a real product that now sells close to 500 units a month. This year we exhibited at MACNA 2011 for the fourth year in a row and, thanks to this show, we are poised to double our number of retail outlets.
Also, thanks to an idea from a BRS member (whom I won't name unless she wants to be named), Reef Gently has added its first NEW product. The Frag Tree, a self-customizable frag mounting "tree", was introduced at MACNA 2011 and became a quick favorite. Holding true-to-form we gathered suggestions and ideas for improvement and with a couple of small changes the Frag Tree now doubles as a sea horse anchor. Can't wait to see what we can make it do next, ahahah. We will be rolling this out officially with our new website that is currently in the works.
