Hey,
I heard you have a pump that works wonders when attached to a CPR bakpak, but I'm not sure of the exact model. I called up and you guys said that they'd be out until beginning of August. Is this the case for that model pump, and if it is, is there a way I could pay now and be gauranteed one when they come in (or do you think there will be plenty for all when they come in)?
Thanks,
Chris

We are going to be getting a number of them, shouldn't be a problem. I wish I could get them sooner, but the slow boat is still the slow boat.

Sounds good. I'm looking forwarding to tossing the crappy rio that is on there now :)

It's a Resun needlewheel pump. I haven't actually tried it myself, but a couple of customers bought them and seemed happy before we ran out.

What is the model number of the pump, for future reference?

It's model 225 with the needlewheel (comes in a non-needle version too).

i bought one and Love it. I stuffed bioballs in the output side to help break up the overflow of air bubbles.
It would fill the collection cup in an afternoon.
the skimmate was just a thick as my euroreef.
might need to restrict the flow some to help reduce any microbubbles getting into the tank

I'll be hanging it on my sump, so no worries about micro bubbles here :)

Any idea when the 225 with the needlewheel will be in stock?

Unfortunately, they are coming from overseas in a shipping container by boat. I don't have a firm ETA other than sometime in august... probably. Has to get to LA, rail to boston, clear customs, and then they let me have the stuff.

Now that's what I call an old fashion journey.

I have a cpr bak pak 2r on my 45gal tank what size tank would you say the cpr could handle with the pump you are mentioning (resun 225)

They are 24.99. I don't know how much I would change the skimmer rating.. a 55 is probably as large as I would go with it.. but it does make it much more effective, especially vs. the maxi-jet.
Jeremy, Do you have any in stock now?

hey, just wanted to let you know i bought one of the needlewheel pumps from jeremy and it works great. I have it on my cpr that hangs in the sump (as to not give me bubbles in the display.) It pulls out a look thicker nastier stuff than the rio ever did.
Thanks :)
