Underwater world in taunton mall has a great selection of corals and fish...with a large reef tank and and healthy livestock...there one of my favorite LFS around (and my most visited:D)

I buy lots of livestock there all the time and have never had any problems...none of the fish I have ever bought there had any kind of disese...So I HIGHLY reccomend giving it a visit:D:D:D

I've stopped in there, the guy I talked to (I forget his name ) was actually very knowledgable - this wasn't the typical mall fish store by any means.

He and I had a long conversation, and it ran the gamut from freshwater to salt - I give a thumbs up, I was very pleasantly surprised.

One of the positives of the forum. I didn't know of this store, but my wife is visiting that mall next weekend with friends, maybe I'll tag along.

I think they are under new mgmt since then - I heard alot of similar stories a few
years ago when they first opened, but not for a long time.

just got me a mandarin from there sunday, store is still awsome, great service, knowledgable staff and always willing to talk and give some damn good advice.

i've never bought any SPS from them but it always looks VERY healthy, almost every single frag is encrusted, and all have very deep, bright colors.

i ALWAYS recommend this store to fellow reefers i meet in the area, they're fish and coral selection is much better than any other in the area. (out of the ones i've been to)

Andy, that works there is wicked friendly, he treats steady customers really well. I stop in there all the time. I just wish he would frag a little more of the big corals, they tend to be pricey.

I have purchased all of my livestock from Underwater World and havent been disappointed yet. They are all very friendly that work there and give you honest answers instead of just trying to make a sale. My wife says I spend way too much time and money there though! They are the ones who recomended that I check out Bostonreefers.org. So much props to this establishment and I recomend them highly!

I agree this place is great. Greg Ben and Andy are all good guys that try to help you out and answer any questions you have honestly and if you need something they don't have they will get it for you. They have great ORA frags and tons of other livestock like ORA clams at great prices, they also sell RO DI water for those without RO units. Check them out.......Nick

I've been there many times and had mixed experiences. Never really a bad one, but never really a great one either. Selection IMO tends to be mediocre at best.. but prices seem about right and health of the stock is generally good.

There are better stores out there in my opinion, but the convenience of this one is nice for me..

One thing that i think it has going for it is the mall location... probably get a lot of walk in traffic that way, and it also helps when trying to convince someone else to go with you because you can do more shopping at the same time.

I gotta say that the service there was really good (let me return a coral after a few days). The only issue I have with this store is why do they have a hippo tang in a 30g tank... ??????

yea that's bugged me too, it looks like his face is kinda scarred from the rocks, i could be wrong tho.

Actually that hippo tang has long since been removed. I think it was put in there when it was real small and then they had a hard time getting it out as that little tank has a lot of rock and corals in it. It has been removed and placed in a better home from what I heard.

I saw that tang in there for quite awhile (def over a year). It really shouldn't have been in there in the first place, LFS should be setting an example to customers by being ethical IMO..

Like I said before though, good staff and good prices, this just irked me

I was just in UWW today Andy and Greg were helpfull and friendly as usual. They just redid their frag rack in the sps tank to fit more corals and it was packed all the frags were at really good prices too. Two thumbs up for UWW.

was in there the other day.

Nice place, and pretty convenient for me....

decent selection, and pretty reasonable prices...

they don't have all that many salt tanks though... selection is pretty small compared to other stores. A pretty good store overall, but a step down from other stores (site sponsors) that i've been to recently.
