Great customer service!!!
I ordered the Typhoon III and was surprised to see everything labled with notes from their service folks. The directions were pretty clear, but I was nervous puncturing a hole in my cold water copper pipe.
I called the number they supplied and spoke to Walter. He was a great guy to deal with - very patient.
He answered my questions quickly, and I was off the phone and finished the installation soon afterwards.
I've not had a problem since then, and I've made hundred of gallons of Ro/DI water.
I heartily recommend them.

Moe - I absolutely agree. Walter is extremely helpful. I lost a few of the very small fittings when I first got mine (fell somewhere in my fishroom  ) and he expressed me out new parts at no extra charge. I also called them with some pretty dumb questions when I first got the unit and they were helpful and courteous. I've had my unit for 2 years and never had a problem with it. I highly recommend them.

Oh man I have been dealing with airwaterice for about four years now and always they have been there for me when I had an issue or just did not understand something. I just ordered a pressure pump for my r/o typhoon 3 and it had a broken fitting and Walter shipped it out to me right away so we would not have to send the whole pump back. then the water pressure would not hold cause I was missing a check valve and of course they sent me that asap and all for no charge. Awesome company with great customer service not to mention what I think to be awesome prices.
don't know if I can post the website on here but pm me and I will send it to you which I think moe and others are capable of doing also.

I must agree as well. I have not had the pleasure of speaking to them, but they have had great customer service over email as well. My typhoon 3 was missing the TDS meter that came with the package, and they shipped it out the same day I told them, no questions asked.

I just bought the Air water and ice Typhoon III for $199. It is a five stage with clear canisters for the filters so that you can see if they need replacing and they change color. All of the valves are labeled. It came with a free ($35) TDS meter and temperature tester. It is awesome.

It is a great deal and a super piece of equipment.

Awsome looking RO/DI unit. Everything labeled and completely idiot proof as far as I can see. Even I can figure this out. I got the typhoon3 http://www.airwaterice.com/product/1TYPHOONIIIfor 199 and came with a free TDI/temp meter. Shipping took all of 3 days from the day of my order. Have to agree with everyone else too. Why look elsewhere they are among the best.

Yeah, I have to echo these opinions. Outstanding units and great service.

It's true as people say, that you'll get similar water from a $125 unit on ebay, but maintenance, longevity, and water quality over the long run will be better with an AWI machine. The components are top quality, details are attended to, and they include all the bells and whistles that people sometimes end up retrofitting to their cheaper watermakers. Personally I think it's well worth the extra $50 or so dollars.

I've got a Typhoon V (I think that's what it is?). It's a 5 stage with drinking water pressure tank and tap, and carbon filter for the drinking water. This thing kicks butt, and my wife loves having the RO water at the sink (you could also plumb it to your through-the-door fridge water tap if you have one).

I recently purchased a Eskimo RO\DI unit form air water ice it is a setup similar to the typhoon only it has 2 membranes and a modified restictor.
The restrictors allow you to use low pressure and cold water with little effect on production. I am very impressed with the results. It is rated at
150 gal\days and it does make a gal in about 10 minutes

I did have a problem with Iron in my well water and they were very helpful in determining this was my problem and how to solve it. They sent me some free parts to help me out with this as well.

However the one small gripe I have was the turn around time and communication with the new the guy Brian. He was very helpful & nice but very disorganized and slow. Hopefully this will change as he get used to his position.

In the end he gave me a great deal on the Eskimo and everything else I purchased so I didn't really care about the timing and disorder.

Greg,

I actually emailed Brian last week, and Mindy responded from his email account. Maybe there's someone new there?

Love them as well!!! I won a Typhoon III a while back before MACNA in boston at the big auction. The glass on the pressure gage was broken on. I called them up to ask if it would effect the reading (which it wouldn't) and they ended up shipping me a replacement free.

Not to mention all the personal email help the are willing to provide when you're thinking about buying / hooking up one of their units.

Great Customer service!

I picked up a used AWI unit about 6 months ago. I would agree with all that has been said except that I haven't needed any customer service so I can't comment on that (because the product worked fine without customer service/support).

I also have the Typhoon III 5 stage RO/DI unit. Outstanding product, clear concise instructions (with pictures) for idiot-proof setup, and a great quality product! My unit also has the clear canisters and came with a free digital TDS meter.

I ordered the Typhoon III Extreme 150 GPD unit, and it is great. Inline TDS, hand-held meter, auto-shutoff, float...all excellent. I was having some issues with the system (pressure gauge was broken, waste water ratio was high, etc.) and Don from the support/service side was great to deal with. Answered my e-mails quickly and accurately. Quick shipping on replacement parts. I would highly recommend them for any reefer.
