I have 2 clown gobies that are killing my Staghorn and I need to get them out! I would not recomend putting them in an SPS tank. I hate to get rid of them because they are really cute to watch and snuggle up together in my SPSs. I would say they are going to most likely lay eggs soon but have not yet.

I have only removed one so far (put in fuge) but as soom as I get the other one out I will bring them to the LFS if no one here is interested.

snuggle ???? come on ray, a grown man with a truck like yours has no business using the word snuggle to describe his fish.......
but they are nice fish

C'mon scott, you should know better....a guy with a truck that big ALWAYS has something to hide...in Ray's case, well, he's a Spooner :)

ray how do these guys harm sps?what is happening to the sps are they just rubbing spots off?

I guess the worst is when they lay eggs on the sps and it will cause tissue losses in those areas. I can imagine if the SPS isn't well attached it would cause some problems also ... they're really nice looking fish though. I wish I had more encrusted (any) so I could take them off your hands... (aquamend doesn't count as "encrusted")
heh

They nip at the polyps and yes I have several spots with severe tissue loss and 70% of it is brown and even white in a couple of spots in addition to the spots with tissue damage :(
I have 1 of them out but I am having trouble catching the other sucker, I moved the stag into a spot where a good amount of flow is on it and the goby can not stick to it so it has been wandering around the tank looking for a new place to make a home. There is one specific coral I hope he sleeps in because I will be able to get him out no problem if he does.....that is how I got the other one out ;)

I have a 30g anemone/softies tank that would be perfect for the pair :)

not yet, I only have 1 of them out and I am having a tough time catching the other one. I have not herd back from Dr steve to see if he wants just the one until I catch the other or if he wants to wait.

Ray,

If anything falls through I'll be happy to take both of them. Just shoot me an email.
