Maybe Mr. Mod can help me with this question.

When I first got my Fuji FinePix S3000, I was taking some sweet pics. Lately, I've noticed that the quality of the shots is not as good as it used to be. I'm still taking my tank photo's at 3 meg. I'm using a tripod, haven't changed a thing in my approach... I also use professional lens paper to keep my lense clean.

I figured it was just the glass on the tank, but I noticed that even my outdoor macro shots are not as good as they used to be.

Can a camera just go bad...

Maybe I just need to get a better model.......

Actually there is a lot of truth to what stang8s said, if I don't have my diopter control set correctly on my camera any manual focus I take are off.

Jim,

Most of my dissapointment comes with my macro settings, which, on the S3k is only available in "auto" setting. I'm actually on the phone with some guy from FujiFilm now who says he's going to talk me through "resetting" the beast to factory settings. He feels I may have done something and knocked the white balance and other settings out of whack.

PS... are the oceans rough there yet? I'm on my way down in a couple hours. I'm hoping to get into the sound before the storm causes too many swells. Wath out bass and bonita... Fishaaaah is back on the Cape ;)
