Selling my boat - not enough time to use it anymore. Price has dropped by $2,000.00, to $10,500.00, and will drop further if it sells before I have to get it out of the
driveway and put it on its mooring for the summer.
Great for collecting seawater, plankton-net tows, fishing, scuba diving platform.

Well, things change quickly around here. Looks like I'll be leaving the BRS (and New England) this summer, and moving back to North Carolina. That means I need to sell this boat quickly - price has dropped to $8,500 OBRO.
Email me at khyers at reedbusiness dot com if you're interested, and I'll send you my phone number (or call yours if you send it to me).

I will take the big tank, and at least one other, not sure about the smaller ones.

Wow Ken, that sounds like a steal. How old was the Chrysler before the rebuild? hours?

Does this have a swim platform on the back? Where is it located to look ?
25' that would fit in my pool....

The engine has less than 75 hours since the rebuild - and this was complete real rebuild by a high-end shop (Precision Moterwerks in Marblehead - they only do high-end marine engines, high-end cars, and Formula 2000 race motors). They wouldn't have bothered to do this engine, but a buddy of mine is friends of the owner and got them to do this job for me).
I know the motor isn't original to the boat, though it is the same size and type of engine that the boat had when it was built. I believe this engine was installed in the early-mid 90s, and it had around 400 hours on it before the rebuild.
Since I'm at the office right now, I don't have the log-book handy, so those numbers may be off somewhat, but they are in the ballpark.
It has a varnished teak swim-platform. It's the perfect size for hauling yourself out on with a bag of lobsters and your scuba gear, which is what I did quite a lot before babies came along and my time went out the window ;) .
The boat can be viewed in my driveway for the next month. After that, once we start showing the house, it will be on its mooring in Swampscott. You're welcome to come by anytime, just give me a call (781.913.2545 - my mobile).

Dave,
I'm around all weekend - I've got a list of projects to do around the house as long as my arm, so I'm not going anywhere :o . Just give me a call and I'll give you the address and directions. I'm also around most nights, so if that works better, just give me a call.
No, no trailer. This boat sits on jackstands. Every season I have J&W Marine launch it - they charge me $160 to launch it at the beginning of the season, and the same to pull it at the end of the season.

Ken,
Sorry to see you leaving the area. I hope it's for the best.
Good looking boat too, I wish we could clear that shadow away I can't tell if you look proud or nervous? :D

Marc,
Since I've got gloves on, that must have been when I was pulling it in late October or early November a couple of years ago, and since that picture's taken in Salem harbor, that means I've just brought it over from Swampscott and am freezing my *** off right about then!
No, I've always been proud of that boat. A lot of time, love and labor went into making it as good as I could. I'm kind of glad that I'm leaving the area after I sell it, because I don't think I could bear to see it out on the water and know it's not mine. Whoever ends up buying it, I think I'll be like someone putting their dog up for adoption - I'll be most interested that whoever takes it will give it a good home.
The move to NC is a good thing, I think. My wife really wants to be back near her family, since her parents are getting older and they're all the blood she's got. Plus, cost of living's a lot cheaper down there, it's less crowded, and we like the food better - AND the winter's a whole lot easier to deal with in NC. I've become really comfortable up here, and could stay with no problem, but since I can work anywhere in the country, it makes sense to move where my wife will be happier. I'm really going to miss the ocean and all the people I've come to know up here though. Since this is the longest I've lived in one place in my life (going on 11 years) it feels more like home here - but nobody in my family has ever lived north of the Mason Dixon, so I guess I better head back down and not upset the applecart.

Well better late then never, have to see if I can get the wife up this weekend to look at it. I'm, diving Sunday. Only possible issue may be getting it in the water...with a mooring for rest of summer. She wants to take it for a test run.....I thought you already sold this

Been waiting for a plumber to show to give us an estimate on new dressing room/shower/steam setup. Doesn't look like he will be showing up today.
We can head up in the next hour or so. I'll give you a call after we grab something to eat to confirm

Dave,
Cool - I can't wait to ride it. Thanks for coming by last night - you should have stayed a bit longer for the cigars and scotch. I'll talk to you tomorrow after I set up the haul time - PM me the address for Captain's Cove and the launch site.

I wish I could have, I was worried about driving without trailer lights. I have to get them fixed so I can use the trailer, tired of hauling stuff w/the SUV.

Enjoy your cruising - I'm envious!
Does this mean you're going to be changing your screen name to "Captain Dave"?

Boats in the water!! Went down & started it up. Very tempted to go for a ride, but registration numbers aren't on the boat yet.
Ran it for a while while I ran thru blowers, running lights, cabin lighst, stereo
Wish I'd had a 6 pak....
If the weather clears up we'll take it out for a short run over the weekend
