They changed ownership a year or two ago. Both the old and new owners were nice to deal with IME.
I haven't been in much reccently, best advice IMO, drop in and see for yourself.
I've seen what looked like very nice livestock, and not so very nice livestock there in the past. Can't say much on their current status. If your local, pop in often and try to gauge how things are going.
They have the potential to be a very solid store, but I haven't been in much lately.

Their corals are pricey, but the fish and clean up crews aren't too bad. Every now and then their tanks look real dirty, but I was told it get's like that when they do water changes. I think the new owners name is Steve. He's a very nice guy and easy to deal with.

Oh yeah...I've bought a decent amount of fish from them as well as one coral and most of my clean-up crew when I started out. Everything was healthy.

I don't think I have EVER gone into this store when the owner was not sitting right there front and center smoking a nice cigarette and blowing the smoke on the kids. He's a nice enough guy, but come on! So if you don't like second hand smoke, this is NOT the store for you.
It's hard to recall but I think I did buy 1 royal gramma from this place at one point. It died, but I won't fault the store for that. I also bought some snails and hermits a while back. After visiting many other stores, I've decided to not buy live stock from Lovely Pets anymore. You might do ok with the fish if you know what to look for (emaciated mandarins are always nice!), but I would recommend QT. If you're like me and don't have a QT, then I would look for a store with um.. more structured acclimation procedures.
I bought a couple pounds of live sand here once. As far as I could tell it was just wet sand. Nothing live about it.
Last but not least is the corals... Every coral looks bland to me. Almost no SPS selection. (That might be a hint about water quality?) Also literally every coral tank is infested with bubble algae. Combine this with the fact that they have what may be the highest coral prices of any store I've been to and its not hard to see why I've never bought any coral here.
I could walk to this store, but I always find its worth it to jump on 93 and seek alternatives. I'll leave it at that.

nice store if you want to watch his 2' nurse shark grow.
i've been visiting this store for the past 10 yrs. fish were healthier looking under the previous owner, but he was a tad difficult.
i once asked him for a better price on a small clown trigger..he seemed upset and mentioned he was going to now raise the price.. you know,,he actually did raise them up 10 bucks. :D freakin comical.
new ownership about 3 yrs ago, prices steadily increased, fish health appears to have declined a bit. pretty large selection though..so it's more hit or miss.
often times you can find larger specimens than you will see at most other places. large chromis, angels, triggers, groupers, eels.
mexican turbos he has there are super algae eaters..just chow everything down. durable as well.
i like the setup of his two reef tanks,,but corals dont' appear to be in best of condition..
there's a little bargain room with him but not much.
overall, decent enough guy that will try to help you if he can..

i bought 2 chromis and a yellow tang from him...one chromis was super red on one side and his fin wasn't moving...after a few hours i took him out and then a friend told me that the chromis was sick...enough said...
The other remaining chromis and the tang are both beatiful. I've had them almost 3 weeks now and so far so good, their colors are great. I'd just be careful and would only buy after examining the fish.
The guy always helps me out with questions, I'm just not certain about his fish quality.
