i think that's the challenge with bulb group buys. there are so many different bulb types, it's difficult to get large quantities for a specific type.

I'm afraid to. Last time I "tried" a bulb (XM 20K) it didn't work too well and i lost money.

Was it a 250M ? they had some bad ones and were/ will exchange it.

The bulb was not defective. What happened is that it (2x250hqi) didn't provide enough light for the corals and they all turned brown after 2 months. I switched to 1 megachrome and 1 AB and color came back cople months later.

I would stay away from XM bulbs (250W). I exchanged once and the new one got the same problem. I end up buying new type and threw away the XM.

Some people posted good things about the hamilton 14k, but i think it's too early to tell. I am not going to try new bulbs anymore, megachromes are working well for me. AB's are working OK. So i'll probably keep using them for a while.

I'll go with a pair of AB SE 10ks (13k) but the buy has to start within the next day and I'd need them shipped to my place in VT.

I would pass on coralvue I ordered two 400w 14k SE and got 1 14k and 1 10k and no return emails.Even the LFS I bought the bulb from doesnt return phone calls and I have been at it for two weeks.
