Petsmart price match 5 gal drum 31.99

I'm sure you guys have read that they price match. Well let me tell you that they do not pricematch websites. You might be able to get away with bringing in a catalog. Otherwise you need a flyer from a different store. But there is one wacky thing. I was trying to get them to price match some salt. Who wants to pay 49.99 for a 5 gallon drum of salt. Bigalsonline.com sells them for about $30 plus 8.00 shipping. So I tried to pull off bringing in the webpage price. The manager told me they couldn't price match online stores. But what I did learn was that they pricematch their own website. The sea salt was 49.99 at the store. However when you go to Petsmart.com they list the salt at 31.99. Thats cheaper than buying it online. I noticed that many prices were far cheaper on petsmart.com than they were at the store. And my guess is, that its going to be cheaper online cause its sitting in a wharehouse, and they charge you shipping. Just my two cents.

This one needs to be made sticky. It comes up all the time. If you bring in a printout of their website, PetSmart will match prices.

Okay, I'll confess to buying from a big box store. It works; I took in my printout & my PetsPerks $5.00-off coupon and walked out with my IO salt for $27.99 + tax. It took a while to do the whole thing. The cashier knew immediately that PetsMart honors their web price in store with a print out, however she had to wait for the manager to okay it. That long wait bought me a few hard stares from the folks in line behind me. But the savings thickened my skin.

keep an eye out for coupons in the mail also. I got a $10 off one las week. Price matched the IO salt walked out of there with it for 21.99 plus tax. But also on the bucket there is a $5 dollar rebate to send it so i will save a little more. I got a great deal.

I'm getting low on salt again. IIRC, with the pricematch, I can get a bucket of IO and a bucket of oceanic for like $65 total. ( i mix the two when I have both)

With website prices, do they actually add shipping and then match it? I tried one time with IO salt and they wanted to match petsmart price + shipping, They refuse to do it without shipping.

I bought a bucket of IO there on Saturday and they just gave me the $31.99 petsmart.com price. They did not try to include shipping. Maybe it depends upon what mood the manager is in?

I got some today actually. No shipping. I had the wrong printout too and they still matched the price.
