save your $ on the branch chipper. I have found that even the best ones are not very good unless your yard only grows straight branches. Any little twig coming off a branch makes it a pain to get into the chipper. Couple years ago i rented a vermeer chipper for a weekend. That think had balls. Could take entire trees up to 10" diameter and chip them. With one or 2 friends and a weekend you can chip your entire yard with one of them.

Thanx for the info. The chipper was at the low end of my list. Once I finish w/trees and brush I shouldn't have to do any more. So rental sounds like the smartest choice

If you dont need/want the logs for a fireplace the rental chippers will chip the entire trunks too. I kept a bunch but also chipped a bunch. I will probally be renting one again soon as i am going to be clearing some land to build a barn this summer.

I'm actually only going to be chipping the smallest stuff. Everything else I use for kindling & firewood
