Interested in snail/hermit group order?

I talked to some folks at Skiptons yesterday (B wasn't there), and with the snails they usually order in lots of 200, so we would need a demand well above that, say 500 to get a good discount out of the group buy. Is there enough interest? I need approximate numbers so Brendon can try to help us out. Let me know how many snails (nassarius - NOT cold water :rolleyes: ) people are interested in. What about hermits, ceriths, and turbos? I know it depends on the price, but try to guesstimate (for reference, blueleg hermits, nassarius and astrea snails all sell regularly for 15$/dzn). Numbers please!

Oh yeah - they also said that if we just some and pick them up without them unpacking and acclimating them, that would get us a bit of a discount in itself. I am willing to pick up the shipment when it comes in and hold them in my 20g grow-out tank if people are willing to come to Waltham (after 8-9:00pm) to pick up their critters.

Yeah, it's really a chicken-or-the-egg situation. We need to give him a quantity for him to get us a price, and we need a price to decide how many we want. I am figuring a dozen each nassarius and cerith (or if no one else wants ceriths, 2 dozen nassarius). Maybe more if the discount is really nice.

Not sure who told you that info. I do not need any min. to order. it is true the higher number ordered will result in lower prices.

If you guys are ever interested in group buys please contact me. I will handle it, not someone else at the shop. They might not know the specifics.

No available pairs this week. They do come through regularly, I will check next week.
Have you seen the Blue Banded Shrimp, they are sweet and stay small.


As far as group buy goes, no one has contacted me. I am going to talk to my suppliers and see how the availability looks for next friday, for pick-up Fri. Sat. Sun.(12/10,12/11,12/12) If things look good I will put something together and post it in our forum.(as well as link it here, or maybe someone can help me do that, lol)

I have seen the blue ones. I think you are right they are sweet.
I will have water in my tank shortly, like in the next day or so. Anyway I am not in a big hurry but put me down for the next blue pair.

I think by the time this GB gets organised I will be ready for a some critters.
