playbox sand ... what is the average street price on a bag of this .. and how much is in a bag ... my dad works at the 6th largest producer of agrigate in the world .. heh heh he said he might be able to get a load of this stuff .. even cheaper if he didnt need to use a company truck....

whats the main composite of this stuff? just curious...

I just bought 2x40lb. bags of 'tropical play sand' from agway for $4.50 per bag.

if we could secure a dump truck i could probably get a truck load literally for "dirt" cheap .. heh heh stupid pun

Doubtful that you can get it up here. It's calcium based sand. Don't know how they get it but I'd imagine its excavated from somewhere in the carribean; florida at a minimum. The geology of this area is not all that rich in calcium.

Calfo had a truck load of it brought in to Philadelphia a few years ago. It can be done. Don't know the cost.

It does originate in the Caribbean.
