We have been wondering why the new streams that we ordered as 6000 are marked 6100. I was looking around in the Tunze thread in Reef Central and found the following from Tunze. Thought people might want to know.

It is a 6000, they use the same motor-- part number 6100.10. The only difference is the transformer which is 11V for the 6000 and 19V for the 6100.

interesting.

Is the transformer internal or is it on the plug end?

On the plug end it would be pretty easy to do a quick upgrade eh? :)

We have a set of the power heads, the two blue boxes that are attached to the heads and the multi-contoler. The blue boxes have the power supplies built in. It appears that Tunze does not want the the 120-240 volts in the tank like we do with the Rio or other power heads. From the way that I understand it, if the power supply will output 12 V it is a 6000 and if it will go to 19V then you have a 6100 set up. The multicontrol allows you to cut back the follow by either lowering the voltage or the duty cycle.

We are running these are about 40% on the 6000 in a 125G to keep from blowing everything around. If you need more flow - more voltage.
