Advanced Reef Topics
A place to discuss in detail complex reefkeeping topics. New techniques, methodologies, and the science behind them. Advanced lighting and chemistry topics.
Why we made it:
The Reef Talk section is a great forum, but with the number of posts that occur per day, topics that might be of interest to more advanced hobbyists get overlooked because they scroll off so quickly because of the ?How do I stop these darn glass anemones?? type posts. Sometimes advanced hobbyists also don?t come on as frequently as new members because they just don?t have the same number of questions. It becomes very hard for these ?salty? members to find the threads that will really engage them and make them want to participate.
How we will manage it:
In most cases the moderators will not move threads back and forth between the Advanced Reef Topics forum and the Reef Talk forum. We will leave it to the poster to decide where they want the thread to be.
