Hi everyone,
finally found a local forum for reefers. Lot of great tanks here. I'm finally converting to saltwater after getting bored with planted freshwater. I picked up a AGA 55gallon with a nice oak stand. I'm selling off my other hobbies (paintball, ect..) in order to fund this one. I intend doing a build log with lots of photos over time. Heres some of the equipment I'm looking into purchasing for this set-up. I'd like to keep some softies, LPS, and some easy SPS, until I can upgrade to a larger tank.

50-60lbs LR, 1.5" LS with some kind of top sand..
48" VHO Retro fit kit, (2) 10,000k coralifes, (2) Actinic 03's later I'll fit in (2) (250w-20,000k) MH's
Aqua Medic TurboFlotor 1000 Protein Skimmer Multi SL
AGA 10 gallon refuge
(2) Hydor Koralia Water Circulation Pump-600 gph each
A wavemaker, and some kind of Calcium reactor in the far future..

Any advice and help would be great..hopefully in a couple months I'll be able to buy some frags off you guys. Id love to come to some of the meetings..
