Are you seriously posting this in reef talk?

give me a break Cat avatar extrodanair. If you don't have something positive to say don't post for the sake of giving somone a hard time. I'm just looking for advice on where to get a good stock of a coral that isn't always easy to keep.

And if you have something to say in WTB, then post it in WTB...

Moved to the current forum.
Please keep WTB threads in the WTB forum.

If you want vendor recommendations, you can make a thread that asks for that info in Reef Talk. Just don't make it WTB, and don't expect local hobbyists to advertise there.

Thanks.

So how exactly do you know how much "action" is going on in the WTB forum? It doesn't make sense to post in the wrong forum because you feel the correct forum doesn't have enough exposure. It also doesn't make sense to give fanagle a load of crap for trying to get you to follow the most basic of rules.

"So how exactly do you know how much "action" is going on in the WTB forum?"

simply by number of views for a post. it's a post looking for help or a frag that was not viewed much. I didn't know BRS members could be so unfriendly and give you crap for looking for some coral. Now bagel simply could have said, "Steve, have you tried the WTB foum yet?" That would be the polite reponse but he had to be sarcastic about it and that why I posted what I did. If you don't like my post where it is siply ignore it and let the mods move it.

Now now, enough dragging of the mods into stuff already. Let's get back on topic.

A quick search pulled up a bunch of people in the BRS who scored some frags from Bec's beauty. Since nobody has responded, I'd assume there aren't any frags out there. I know that ours is still quite small and just recently found a happy place in the tank.

Soooo, another quick search pulled up a nice specimen over at Marine Center.

I haven't purchased any coral or livestock from them before so I can't speak one way or the other on them. I've heard that their live delivery policy is a bit stringent and they are on the upper end of the budget for most folks.

Your best bet is to be patient and call around the LFS that you are familiar with. If someone knows you are looking for a specific piece, maybe they can get one in for you.

With regards to the "tone of posts", your best bet is to keep a thick skin on and don't let things fluster you. This is a written medium so things that may seem rude are mean tounge in cheek and so on. Life's too short and it is just a fish club ;) (tounge in cheek implied) :D

"So how exactly do you know how much "action" is going on in the WTB forum?"

simply by number of views for a post.
Posts in the WTB forum will probably always have a low number of views because it says right in the title (in most cases) what they are looking for. If people don't have or know someone who has what the person is looking for, they most likely won't even open the thread.
I didn't know BRS members could be so unfriendly and give you crap for looking for some coral.
Nobody has been giving you crap for looking for coral. Fanagle gave you crap for purposely posting in the wrong forum because you thought the correct forum didn't get enough traffic. I gave you crap because instead of saying "You're right, I should have just posted it in the correct forum, you gave him crap and basically told him to shut up.
Now bagel simply could have said, "Steve, have you tried the WTB foum yet?" That would be the polite reponse but he had to be sarcastic about it and that why I posted what I did.
Now why would he ask that when you state right in your title that the WTB forum doesn't have much action?
If you don't like my post where it is siply ignore it and let the mods move it.
In case you haven't noticed, they already have.

OK, enough.
Please stop the discussion on tone, post locations, and everything besides getting SteveL the frags he's looking for.

Thanks.

Went LFS store hopping yesterday...trying to remember exactly where I saw what- I believe at Skipton's there were quite a number of goni's...i definetely remember green goni ana a purple..-"possibly" a red? AG in NH had a few colonies of goni-they definetely had red and one was a really nice looking(aka-healthy). Try giviing either a call or maybe a couple of the other sponsors here as well. You can also ask to see if one can be ordered for you(I believe our wonderful sponsors here will be happy to accomodate! can't gaurantee the coral will though....) Hope this helps and good luck!
