I am looking for an automatic feeder that I can run via my Neptune AquaController III for when I am away on vacation. The reason for this is that I want to shut down my pumps during the feeding cycle. Unfortunately, I have only been able to find one such unit called the ASF-1 at www.super-feed.com (http://www.super-feed.com) . All the others that I have found have their own built-in timers. Does anyone know of such feeders other than the one above? Also, does anyone know if the Super Feed ASF-1 unit is any good?

I don't have any recommendations for you except this....if I were you I would NOT set up my pumps to turn off for ANY length of time while I was away. Just way too much risk they may not restart.
If you are feeding flake food and worried that it will just go over the overflow, you might just put in a stationary ring of plastic tubing floating on the surface. Have the food drop into that and hydrate.

Thanks Greg, you bring up an excellent point about the risk of the pump not restarting. I will follow your suggestion and use a feeding ring.
I still want to find a feeder that I could run from my controller. If I don't hear any suggestions from this group for such devices, I will go ahead and purchase the one from Super Feed.
