Hi folks,
As mentioned at the meeting Saturday, I'm posting a list of the donations from Inland Reef. Most of the stuff is at my house. If you need something listed, post here or send me an email (please no PMs) and I'll bring it to the next meeting.

well, as said I needed to renew my membership at the last meeting, but when I tried, the guy I spoke with (forget his name, he was sitting at the desk next to the entrance) said he didn't have any membership cards and what not, and that it'd be easier to just renew at the next meeting. So that is the plan.

could i get a mantis shrimp trap if there are any left? although i do think that it is a good idea to keep them with the club and lend them out when someone needs it. it seems like someone is always looking for a trap.

Maybe split up the mantis traps to areas. Keep one on the North shore, West of Boston, and South? But that might get hard to track.....oops I made another suggestion...forgot about my last one ;)

Mike, I'm at work. I can't see the donated items. They're in my basement at home. I ask for your patience.
I'm going to have to read back and figure out who gets what based on time of posting. You can do that as well as I can. Did anyone in this thread ask for those items before you? If so, they get first dibs.

One trap is going to be loaned out.The other two will be offered in raffle or auction. Not sure which yet - raffle or auction. Won't know until a the meeting.

I realized, after I got those emails, that aksing for email was a bad idea. After those people emailed me I put up the note saying please don't email. Check out the dates/times on the emails.

Sorry, Mike, I got a few emails suggesting the traps go to raffle or to auction at a meeting so more people would be able to get them. It's very similar to the propagation workshop. Some people didn't think it was fair that they missed the thread or that they didn't even know about it. They didn't like that they had to sit around and watch the boards like a hawk. I heard those suggestions, and decided to open the traps up to more people. Come to the meeting and bid on them.

ok, thats fair everybody at the meeting will get a chance at them but as far as the hat drawing for the workshop being done at a bar by a few people & not at the meeting with a large group there's something wrong with that in my book , i don't know how other people feel about it

I don't see it as a big deal, but remember we could have always just done the first 10 to sign up on the board and then we'd KNOW there was no tinkering now wouldn't we. :D

I have an idea . . . lets stop accepting donations from LFS, no more BRS Sponsored frag workshops at anyones houses, no more official group buys . . . hell maybe we should stop having meetings on Saturday's because not everyone can make it. Maybe we should just disband the BRS altogether and people can go back to the general forums at RC and reefs.org.

Sorry Moe if you took offense to my reply but you opened the door back up by your reply , you almost quoted one of my post , you do do a good job running this club but i feel some things are not done fair but that is how i feel

you ask for help to run things some times, so i offered to do the hat draw but for some reason you bypassed offer (i think i know why,but i'll leave that alone)

i think i'll stop here before this gets to far
