Need to gauge if there would be anyone out there interested in a Greenwing
Macaw? I have never had it sexed so unsure whether male or female. Loves
me.....hates my wife...not really(jk), the bird has just paired up with me. I
really love it, but do not take the appropriate time with it (my wife wanted it,
I did not...you see where I am going).

It is amazing how many of us have parrots! The greenwing is a beautiful bird, but my quaker would not like him/her one bit. I wish I could take him/her . . . . but . . .

Depends who is holding the bird. Will not attack through cage unless I am home. He/she is a one person bird. Always been that way. The original owner was allegedly
involved in an "altercation", the bird was later found on a stop sign. Tammy's (my wife's) aunt received it somehow and was never home so, give it to us (hence etszoo
Eric and Tammy's zoo) we get all the wayward animals somehow. Honestly I have no
idea how he would be with kids. He is very social until I get home then it is me me me.

I think Maccaws do that - pair up, I mean. When I was a kid, ours did that with my dad. Never mean to anyone else in the family, but really couldn't bear to be away from my dad. Cocatoos, on the other hand, can be mean. We also had a sulphur crested, and it would attack everyone but my dad.

Nice to be online at home again (stole my daughter's computer heh heh). This one seems to only like men. I think we were looking for about 2k including the cage (the
cage alone is about $800). We are looking at only serious buyers as they are not a bird
for the easily intimidated. They know when you are scared! Kinda like horses only they
don't push you over they could remove a digit like breaking a pretzel stick. I'll post some pics tomorrow from work. I didn't want him/her but they do grow on you....very
upsetting.....

Wish we could help you out with this beautiful bird. But....we just picked up our 2nd bird, "Julie", a 5yo Scarlet Macaw. Julie joins "Mak", our 14yo Blue & Gold Macaw.
We'll ask around to see if any of our "Bird Friends" are interested.
Good Luck!
