I've had great luck with Federal Glass in Framingham. They custom cut everything for me. Reasonable price also.

I have a friend in the business. Is it a flat surface like table top? Because quarter inch
would suffice if that is the case. However if there is a substantial overhang, then 3/8
to 1/2 may be necessary. I'll get a quote. Maybe it would be worth the trip.
