heres a real diy skimmer i made just about everything. i made the tube and box. heres some pics in the progress.
heres the tube after being bent.

i overlapped it and cut it to give it the perfect line to glue.

Did you actually manufacture the tube out of flat stock? If so, I give up, you win

That's sweet. You are a thermoforming stud. Did you do it heat it in the oven? or with a torch? Looks pretty good.
Is this going to be a downdraft skimmer?

spectrum- yes i made the tube out of flat stock
nate- yes i heat it in the over. i did it at 400degrees for 10min it made it nice and easy to form. no its going to be a beckett skimmer ill post pics of that later.

wow, im impressed that you rolled your own acrylic, I have never seen anyone else do that, they usually cheat and buy a tube

It ain't pretty, but it's damn impressive! Nice work.
What size tank are you going to use it on? And what pump are you going to use?

im going to try it on a 120 tank with like a 100gal sump/fuge as for a pump i have not decied yet im open to suggestions

That's a lot of water! :D
I think you need a pretty strong pressure rated pump for a Beckett nozzle. No personal experience with these though.
