ok so i got a 1/4 hp drop in chiller this week that is keeping my tank at 79 deg but the small room that houses all my other stuff including the chiller is getting super hot and i think is heating the sump a little bit. i want to drill a hole in the wall and place the unit on the outside of the house under a deck that is on the opposite side , it would be under a porch that is bone dry. but the only location for the "drop in coil" would be in the 10 gal. remote fuge that has a low flow rate!! would this be a bad idea? the coil is now in the sump that has about 800 gph, please help:confused:

what exactly is a low flow rate for the 10 gallon?

I would be concerned about the chiller being outside. Even if it is dry, there is alot more moisture outside and it would probably start rusting.

its a very dry area and i think there is more moisture in the fish room than under the deck, the fuge is feed via a manifold with ball valve so i would guess.....100 gph???

if you do run it in there i wouldn't be surprised if you had a 3-4 degree drop in the tank when running
