Check out Aqua-Addicts in Salem NH. I was there tonight and that had just gotten in two boxes of Walt Smith "Pukani" rock. It has some great colors on it not just purple. There are orange and green and everthing in between. They had several very large pieces but had some smaller. This is very uncured at this point. I was $7.00 per pound and down depending on how much you get I think. I got about 6 pounds of real small stuff.

There is an old saying that you get what you pay for. It is about $3 per pound for the shipping and handling for good rock from the Pacific when you figure cost to CA and then to us. If the stuff has been shipped by slow air freight, you are going to lose an awful lot of the life on the rock. The Walt Smith stuff is not a solid bowling ball. The Florida rock seems to average about twice the weight for the same size rock. Where is the savings in that? Take a look at the Ultra premium rock that Marco had a couple of weeks ago. That is the stuff I want in my tank. There are lot of shops around getting $10 per pound and up for a lot less quality.

I am going to be needing a couple hundred pounds in the next ~ week and another member that posted today indicated that he was looking for several hundred as well.
