I agree about us also getting the 20% discount. I was there the other week and was really upset to find out as a member we get ZERO discount. All the other places who are also sponsors have no problem giving the discount to us.
Also think their no guarantee on fish sucks.....

only PAID card carrying members usually get a discount at the stores you are referring to...unless they didn't ask...if you are a paid member, then my mistake and continue with your rant

we dont get any discounts being a paid member, but his prices are very good. as far as a guarantee on fish, I never heard of a lfs offering a guarantee on saltwaterfish or corals. If there is such a place please let me know!

i'm pretty sure i've heard of people getting a discount for being a member here too. i never think to ask when i go anywhere lol so i don't know for a fact. i never have a problem from anything i ever get there.

I believe Aquarium World in Watertown will guarantee fish for 10 days, but I would call and confirm. Norm tells me he quarantines his fish and treats them for two weeks before allowing them to be sold. They do cost a little more than normal.

Gee, went to Jays tonight to get some RO water and filter material. He was loaded with live stock and everything looked great and healthy. Wish I had a tank ready to stock.

Gee, you want a discount on top of already discounted prices. I shake my head at some of the prices Jay charges and ask myself, "I wonder how he feeds his family changing that little for some things." He has some brains in there that would cost 50-75% more elsewhere. If there is a 20% coupon that's awesome.

yeah that place is great, 1 dollar a bucket for rodi water that the best price in town for people that don't have their own rodi unit. the coupon worked on coral too.

I have done 20% off for boston reefers only, a bunch of times before. I'm sure i will again too. As far as guarantee on fish. you have to talk to me about dead fish, and 99% of the time u will get takin care of. I cant guarantee everyfish that goes out the door. Some fish are expert fish, that just cant be guaranteed. If im not at the store when u call , please leave your phone# and i will call u. Everything about Jay's is stand up! You will not find a better selection of fish and corals anywhere! As far as price goes he also has the best prices I have ever seen on corals. Try getting a rock covered with about a 100 Zoas for 30.00. anywhere else you will not find it anywhere but jays. On a side note I have gotten 10% off livestock with a BRS membership ( need to renew) but not on drygoods as its already a great price.
