Why not just add braces/supports inside the canopy and "hang" the LEDs from there? How are your current lights mounted in the canopy?
I am ready for a change in my lighting. My current lights (VHO) get the job done, but I feel LED will give me some more pop in colors

Yes, there are two lugnuts that attach the connections to the controller.
