Peeling Stylo

Have had a purple/blue stylo for a few months now and it has been growing like crazy. One of my first SPS additions. Has been doing great until this past week. I noticed the polyps receding/pealing off from the base upwards. Pictures aren’t great but are all I could get. Any ideas what could cause this? I had a green stylo recently die when all my parameters have been stable. All other sps are thriving, strawberry sorbet, Forrest fire digi, a few Greg Hiller acro’s and more. Rest of tank is monti’s, acans, various eupheylia, and Zoas.

I did recently knock the calcium dosing hose out of the sump and didn’t notice it for 4 days. Calcium dropped from 435 to 290. Alk maxed out at 9.8 during that time and PH shot it to 8.52. Very Happy I spent the money on an apex to help notice my error.

Over the course of three days I brought calcium back to 435 and Alk is steady back at 8.4

My paremeters are:
Salinity - 1.026
Nitrate - undetectable
Nitrite - undetectable
Phosphates - undetectable
Calcium- 435
Alk - 8.4
Magnesium- 1400
Ph - 8.26-8.38
Temp swings over 24 hours from 76.8-78

I only run ROX carbon, and dose with ESV Bionic. Protein skimmer and algae scrubber takes care of excess nutrients. Tank has been running since September 2017.

Pictures to show pealing and placement. Doesn’t look too bad in photos but noticed it getting worse over this past week.

Thanks for any help.

If it was damaged and is now infected from the damage it could be RTN. I would suggest fragging it about a quarter inch above the white alto save the colony. If it is RTN you will lose it all.

The calcium drop may have stressed it to the point of breaking down.

I'd also say maybe dip it in Coral Revive. Had luck saving some corals after alk and calcium swing that were rtn'ing
