you know what else would be cool.. even for us non-newbies is a list of how to properly pronounce common terms in the hobby... only issue is i'm not sure this is necessarily a right way and a wrong way to pronounce certain words.

Wowza :D

theres a few missing since this list is a few years old, mods maybe we can sticky this and add or delete from it as time goes by.......a couple more are LNS-low nutrient system......ULNS- Ultra low nutrient system.........and maybe we can separate the list into coral names ie PPE-purple people eaters, and reef acronyms ie- LNS, and posting acronyms ie-LMk- let me know...........

GSP: Green star polyps, a soft coral people used to love but now wanting to get rid of, just like Xenia
PPE: Purple people eater, a paly that was really hot before PH showed up
Which leads to: PH Purple honet, a current FAB that some online sellers making insane profit from.
RPPE: red purple people eater, not as popular as PPE.

I copied this thread to the Intro forum and stuck it to the top. Hopefully it'll be put to good use. :)

Another one (not on Reefried's list) that I've seen recently:

ATO = Automatic Top Off (a way to automatically refill your tank with RODI water to account for evaporation).
