Has anyone ever taken a marineland heartland 60 and used it as a saltwater tank? I'm thinking about converting mine and not sure if I want to drill it and make it and overflow or if I want to buy a HOB skimmer and run the aquaclear 70 with it? Any suggestions

this was a fresh water tank ?
have you use any medication on it ?
those are the questions a lot of people going to ask if you planing on make a reef talk . if its fish only its a different story .

Not familiar with that specific tank. Make sure it isn't tempered if you plan to drill. Barring tempered glass, I am a big fan of drilling if your stand is sump-appropriate.

The only chemicals used in the tank have been seachem ph lock/ph down and seachem chlorine remover and as far as I know these tanks are regular glass

I just sold the same tank. This is a temperd glass tank. Do not drill it. Get an external overflow and a different stand. I chose to get a new reef ready tank because of this
