Copper and equipment

Question about copper I have my spear heater in a qt tank with copper along with fish I qted just curious if the heater and Jeabo wave maker can no longer go in display since was used in copper or can I just clean them with vinegar and still use in display

I did that with a heater and I was fine. Vinegar and hot water rinse should do you well. I also have about 155 gallons of volume so it may depend on your size.

Don't hold me to this exactly, but from my understanding is that copper can't penetrate the heater or powerhead unless there are know cracks on the equipment, much like a tank with good silicone can be used for a reef after a copper treatment. There's a big positive thread over.on Reef2Reef about this. I have a tank that was used for quarantine that is a reef tank. Make sure you clean everything really well.

Yea that’s less than half of mine lol. Honestly I agree with Paul if there’s no point of penetration and you also thoroughly cleaned it, It shouldn’t be a big deal.
