My tank have been setup and running for 3 months, all my Fishes/corals are healthy with Live Rock & Live Sand.

My sump currently have no live rock in it. I want to add rock to sump for bacteria filter.

Can I add "Dry Live Rock" to my sump and will it becomes "Live Rock" and stay in sump for bacteria filter?

Does it going to affect my current water parameter with "Dry Live Rock" add?

Please advices.

I only need about 10-15 lbs of Live Rock in my Sump.

As long as it’s clean it wouldn’t effect anything. And maybe instead of dry rock you can use those ceramic bricks or bioballs. A ton more surface area so you wouldn’t need a lot.

Can I used "Fluval Biomax Bio Rings - 500 grams/17.63 ounces" and just drop them in my sump? or I need to put them in a mesh bag?
