So i ordered 3 cyan and 3 red leds. I am going to replace 6 of the whites to broden the spectrem and see if I like it. I was going to try 3 reds and 3 greens but Eric from Rapidled sugested cyan so I am trying it. If I dont like it it is only ~$15. If im not happy I may try the greens after. LOL

Would this fixture still be good. Should I/could I upgrade the LEDs. Would I need to change the drivers?

Without seeing a schematic, if the VF of the LED and the Package are the same you "probably" do not need to change anything. If you post a link to the old LED, and the proposed new LED, I can take a look. (I got dead pages from the links above your post).

I am not sure what I would upgrade to, need to see what would work best. The driver don't look too expensive anyways. Hopefully the stars are the same size so I could use the same heatsink.

My two cents, unless you have a specific coral's spectrum "needs", start with spectrum penetration per depth and then tweak to what is visibly appealing.

With respect to leds, start with digikey

look at what CREE has to offer and compare other supplier specs against them.
