It looks like what I imagine in my mind when I plan projects. The finished product never actually turns out so nicely though.
 
Looks fantastic. My father just started building a small pond last week. If I wasn’t renting a house I would absolutely make one. Pretty sure digging a giant hole would be frowned upon lol.
 
Very Nice! FWIW: Heron are an issue in my area, especially this time of year (one visited a week ago). So far, the solution I have found is to string an electric dog wire just inside the pond (1.5 ft off the surface) in a zig zag. They might pick one fish off, but they won't clean a pond out, and when they get "pinged" they don't tend to come back... also makes for interesting Blink videos.
 
Sweet pond. I’ve had mine for almost 15 years. As long as the pond is deep enough, koi winter we’ll as long as there is air exchange, ie an opening in the ice. They go dormant and wake up in the spring.
