I recently upgrades to MH. Ive been running PC lights prior. I heard you can't just jump right in with MH. If this is true what would be the "break in" procedure so my corals don't become toast?

What did I get myself into!
lift the light up high, put eggcrate and multiple layers of window screening over the top of the tank. Every few days remove a layer of window screen. Once all the window screen and the eggcrate is gone lower the light 0.5-1 inch every few days until its where you want it. Keep an eye on your corals reactions. If they start to bleach or look stressed go back a step for a few days before moving forward again.
By a few days I mean 4-7 days
