Default Time for my first skimmer...

Hello every one... I joined a Group by with flameangel(thank you for setting it up) I already order some equipment... But can't make up my mind on the skimmer and I'm looking for some advice... I'm in between the reef octopus NWB200 or the bubble Magus NAC9...the skimmer will be in my 125gal w/55 gal sump... I want a quiet skimmer.... Thank you in advance for any help...

Look into precision marine, i have a Bullet 2, a little expensive but well worth it.

I think the reef octo is a better decision, but you might want to upsize either of your decisions.

I've done a little bit of research and I narrowed it down to the bubble magus NAC9... Every one seems to say that it is very silent.... Also was thinking of the reef octopus XS250.... What do you think... Should I go for th magus

i would stay away from the standard reef octos. I have heard on numerous forums the pumps burn out after a year or so. Google it. I bought the reef octopus nwb 110 and am not too impressed.

I went with a Hydor Performer 705. Got good reviews when I could find people talking about it. I've got it dialed in well now I think and it pulls some good gunk. Can't really comment on the noise level as it's in the sump in my basement. With the sump right next to the return pump I don't hear much of anything else except some water draining into the sump. The pump driving it is a Hydor Seltz L20.
