I decided against setting up the 75g sump for my 25 cube and will probably use a 20h as the sump instead. With the smaller water volume I am now at a loss for which skimmer I want. I definitely want a cone skimmer for less than $200. The Bubble Magus Nac3.5 would probably be perfect but even a small upgrade to even a 45 cube and I would want to upgrade the skimmer too. I would like to try to avoid having to upgrade skimmers on such a small tank upgrade. I admit, I am going to try to stick with the 25 for a while but it is still in my head "what if" I decide to go a little bigger not too far down the road. Any suggestions? I really like the BM and Reef Octopus skimmers. Is the BM a better bang for the buck because of the pump quality? I have heard of the Reef Octo pumps failing within a year. How big of a skimmer is too big for such a small tank? I don't plan on any SPS really. Should I just bite the bullet on the 3.5 and pray I can make some of my money back if/when I upgrade? Would really like to make the purchase in person if possible. I would like to get one today if I can find anything at a LFS. Appreciate any and all input. Thanks guys!
