Thread: WTT queen conch for ?

  1. #1

Default WTT queen conch for ?

I have a pretty large sized queen conch in my 30 gallon. He is much too big. I've had him in there for 3-4 months now.

I'll trade for small frags of zoanthids or a ric polyp or something. I am kind of open to suggestions. I am filling up a 10 gallon nano with low light.

Or maybe a cool reef safe crab/shrimp or something.

I already have xenia, the white pom/pom kind. Is the blue stuff different?

Sorry. He's not large like ungodly huge! But he sticks out in a 30 thats for sure!

He's about 2.5-3" in length and about 2-2.5" in width. I can try to snap a picture today when the lights go on.

I have lots of zoanthids, and button polups for trade if you could meet my husband near bedford someday. I also have a hairy mushroom and a small multicolored ricordia that aren't attached to a rock right now. (I guess they pop off on their own to propogate)

are you sure that is a queen conch?

I got it from someone that was tearing down their tank, so no I guess I am not 100% sure. I'm no expert though and never really looked into it.

Why does it not appear to be a queen to you?

Edit: I just looked it up on marinedepot and a queen has those points and the fighting is smooth. So its a fighting conch I guess.

I looked it up, and it looks like a fighting conch. Thanks DZ for questioning the ID.

I got some offers for trades for it, let me know if some of you want to back out now since its not a queen.

    Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone for their offers. I have decided to take Chris (Toomanyfish) up on his trade.

    Thanks again.
