(Okay, I believe there was some confusion based on the number of private messages I received. This thread takes the place of the previous)
I still have baby true percula clownfish for sale, and they need good homes!
They are $20 each, and they are the ones featured in the Clownfish Breeding Thread. It's like a piece of BRS history!
I have attached images of one in a styofoam cup going to his new home on Sunday.
1. These clownfish are still in their juvenile colors. They are true percula clownfish, they will get all three stripes, and there is no reason to believe they will look any different from their parents, who you can see in the breeding thread. It takes months for the full coloration to develop, and if they are like their parents, they will have large regions of black (half onyx).
2. These clownfish are about an inch long, but reports back from new owners say they are more than capable of getting food in a busy tank (they take all manners of prepared food, frozen brine, flake, and pellets, and they are currently being trained on mysis).
3. Reports back are that these clownfish will pair with ocellaris (false percula). I regrettably can't sell these to people who: a) already have clownfish in the system that are not ocellaris or percula, and b) where there is more than one other clownfish in the system regardless of species. These guys will get beat up If you have a single ocellaris or percula in your system and no other clownfish, then these will make a great addition!
4. Yes, there are multiple batches. right now, only those from the first batch are available for sale, which caused all the confusion. The oldest were 100 days old as of Sunday.
Pickup is in Somerville, MA. They are $20 each, or $40 for two. I can't sell three (or more) to anybody unless they are going in different systems.
