New innovative marine 170 EXT build

So good last couple days were had. I received my new sump Thursday and when Inwent to install I forgot that with the drip pan and the flooring material I put underneath it raised the sump 3/4”. That being said I had to remove the drain plumbing and cut 3/4” out and put coupling to put it back together. course I needed 3 and only had 2. Note to anyone in a pinch if you need ScH80 fittings in a pinch FW Webb carries it all (for 4X the cost of Bulk reef)

anyhow I finished the last pipe today. installed the sump and plugged all drains to fill the EXT overflow to make sure there are no seal leaks there. Hopefully tomorrow we do a water test and no more problems.

So I had some more time tonight. iI was time to build my new reactor & UV manifold. This is being fed from a Jeabo MDP 10000. probably a little big but it’s what I had previously used :) This was an easy one and it is now done and ready to be installed into the sump as well as the UV sterilizer after water test is completed.

It's all AI's fault. AI has started asking for the location of John Conner

finally a nice day outside to put the first coat of pond armor on the wood canopy frame for the tank. did not like the strength of PVC trim wood for this.

Surprised you did the sand before placing the rocks
I like to do this as sand fills uneven crevices. I have done all 3 of my tanks this way. you just need to make sure rock is pressed down making contact with bottom glass so you don’t have an avalanche when you least expect it.
