afboundguy's upgraded 35 gallon cube build!

afboundguy's better 1/2 wanted me to get one of those magnet magnifying things for the side of the tank and took a few close up pictures

Updated FTS. Need to move the gorgonian as I don't like it where I put it. Plan to move the Alveopora to where the gorgonian is mounted and then put the gorgonian behind the top rock mounted.

Lost one of the 2-spot gobies unfortunately. Saw the carcus when I went down to test the water and feed the tank.

Moved around the gorgonian and the alveopora today and looks much better! Going to snag some NSW tomorrow while on the water to do a water change this week.

Wasn't feeling well when I woke up so ended up taking a sick day. Got some rest most of the morning and felt slightly better enough that I tackled some super easy tank tasks...

Got a new inkbird temp controller and decided to not go with the wifi version since it fried itself and I never checked it on the app anyways. I did plug in and put the 2nd heater in the sump.

Finally hooked up the pH probe as well. The RKE turned off when I was unplugging stuff so the fuge lights shut off as they have one of those inline button controllers that resets everytime they loose power. Working on getting rid of those so the RKE just controls them but I was blown away when I turned on the fuge lights for the last 30 minutes before the display lights went on and the pH went up about 0.5 in just 30 minutes.

Placed a the probes in a 3D probe holder I printed a few weeks back. Not perfect as I believe it is designed for a rimless tank but it does the job for now!

Finally hooked up my "dual" BRS reactor as well I say "dual" as I never intended to run GFO and wanted some space saving so I made it a single reactor. Emptied out my bags of carbon into the chamber and used a Sicce 1.0. Think it might do a tad bit better job that the bags of carbon that were squished in the return pump section ‍

e male clown was acting like they had some eggs laid and I noticed he had been acting like that for a few days just didn't spend much time in the basement.

Saw a few eggs still on the rockwork and based on what they have laid before I am guessing this is night 2 of them hatching and that the majority of them hatched last night!

Replaced the media in my BRS reactor from normal carbon to 2/3 ROX carbon and 1/2 GFO that was only a tad over 1/4 a cup and had lots of extra room so I ended up throwing in some bio spheres since I couldn't think of anything else for the lots of extra space.

Used the second BRS reactor from splitting the dual reactor and made it into a CO2 scrubber and placed it up near the window. Seems to get me about a .2'ish raise in pH from a 7.9 to almost an 8.1.

Pods and two more strands of phyto are coming this Wednesday and plan to sift through my white worm cultures and redo them as they aren't taking off like my old cultures were so I want to condense them!

Few random pictures first of the new rainbow hammer. The TSA Pot of Gold torch is in the back and a snail/hermit combo had been by it so it puckered right up!

And my duncan colony that I have had since the old tank that is exploding in the new tank!

Got some T-iso and rhodomonas phyto cultures and 3 different pod strands (tisbe, tigriopus and apocyclops) this weel and plan to start those cultures this weekend. Once they are up and running plan to add a mandarin as my white worm cultures hopefully will be starting to come along and I will seed tank with pods and baby brine shrimp.

I kept a mandarin in my old 25 gallon this way and kept him/her fat and should have even more success as I have a larger tank with a sump!

Small shirt video of me trying to capture pods swimming everywhere with pumps off.
