I'm wondering what people's thoughts would be about adding sub-forums (or something like that) within the marketplace for the seller's location. Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island specifically. I feel like there's such a large number of posts but it's usually nowhere near me so not worth going to, and I wonder if lots of other people feel this way due to the large area BRS covers.
A seller would post in the sub-forum that reflects their location, but buyers could browse anywhere. For example, someone in Bridgewater would probably want to look in both the MA and RI sections, but most likely would have no interest in the CT or NH posts at all. There could even be a western Mass vs eastern Mass section, I don't know. And if a buyer really is willing to travel all over New England, they could still check the general marketplace forum that would include all the posts.
If it would be easier to replicate/less disruptive, how about tags for marketplace forums, so that sellers can add a tag of their general location (RI, CT, NH, maybe west and east Mass, maybe even ME or VT) to help buyers filter for the locations they'd be interested in. Just something I've been thinking about because I'm kind of tired of checking so many marketplace posts (and there really are a lot nowadays) and dismissing a lot of them directly because of location. I think it would really save buyers' time, but let me know what you think!
