does any one know if its coming back to boston and when cause i missed it last time it was here

next one will be in Pittsburgh. I do not think that you will see another one in Boston.

Somebody posted something about interest for a group trip. Maybe pitch in to rent a bus or something. That could work well if there was enough people. I would love to go.

>I do not think that you will see another one in Boston.<

You can say that again!

Macna is great show to visit. We are planning to go to Pittsburgh for the next one and would have gone to Houston if they had not put the ban in place on flying with liquids.

It was unbelievable how much work was involved in hosting the event! Those of us that worked on the show did not get much of a chance to see the show or the speakers.

If you do decide to rent a bus, the Connecticut club would be interested in going to. There are 10-12 that would like to join in on a party bus.

ill be there!

The amount of work to put on a show of this size is very hard for group like the BRS. To do this properly, would take a couple of people full time for the year before the show along with the clubs members helping with organization. I would estimate that club members spent about 2500 hours the week of the show alone to pull this off. Most of us never got a chance to see the speakers!

Andy,

There were some personality clashes to say the least. The conference was a success on many levels, but overall it stressed everyone out. I really don't want to get into the details. MACNA is a great conference, but it is a conference that is run by volunteers. Think of it like adopting another job that pays nothing, maybe even costs you $ and eats a year of your life.

The end.

Sounds like my political job....

Totally agree wild how this 2007 MACNA talk still fits today, because travel and logistics still make or break the trip. Last time I went to a reef event out of town, I just booked a ride with Blue Nile Livery so I could keep everything upright and not deal with parking or hauling gear.
