HI Team,
My acans just not doing well in the display, though did great in the frag tank (sharing same sump). I have two dwarf angelfish that may be nipping at them but which one?…the yellow angelfish or the cherub angelfish? Hoping someone has experience and could share their opinion.
It’s too bad that one of them may have to go, they are beautiful.
Thanks

Angels often times get the taste for acans. Once they start hard to stop. Most dwarfs will pick just keep an eye on the tank for 10-15 minutes one will probably start nipping right away. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s both

I caught both and put them in the sump. I am torn because they are beautiful and healthy, and seem to only eat Acan and Scoly. I have to choose. Leaning towards rehoming the dwarf angels…

Most angel fishes love to eat those corals, there is no way around it. You can feed the tank more but they will still nip

I recently bought a regal angel knowing the risk, he was okay for 2 months, then one day he started to think that acans are food. So ended up moving the acans to a different tank. Still watching if he’s going to build up taste on other softies (scoly, etc). So far so good.
