120 gallon tank set up ?s

gadolinium

Gadolinium
Saw a nice 120 gallon pre drilled 4*2*2 acrylic tank for sale for 100 dollars so I grabbed it. Tank has a central overflow looks like 1.25 or 1.5 inches diameter and same size return drilled into the upper left corner. So far I only have the tank.
I have never had a tank this large or one with a sump. My question now is how would you stock it? I'd like to buy close to top of the line equipment, but don't want to shell out the cash unless it is really worth it for certain items. Can you guys help me out with some inventory? Budget 2 to 3 thousand maybe more if needed.

I would like this to be a SPS tanks with around 10 to 15 fish.

Stand ( Is fish tanks direct a good choice?)
Skimmer
Sump ( I may build my own, but still need to know about sizing.)
Return pump
Amount of sand to buy
In tank pump/s ( would like wavemaking capability)
Plumbing supplies for overflow and return
Amount of rock ( was thinking about one large/tall and one small formation with plenty of open sand bed around both.)
Lights ( I have built my own LED for my 12 gallon, but may pony up the cash for something commercial.)
? calcium reactor or other method like kalk
Anything else I may have forgotten

Stand ( Is fish tanks direct a good choice?) - Could build your own, I also believe there was a stand for sale in the Marketplace not to long ago - I just saw you were in CA according to your location so this wouldnt work out
Skimmer - Dont skimp here, could go the Reef Octopus Super Reef 2000
Sump ( I may build my own, but still need to know about sizing.) - The biggest you can fit under the stand foot print wise, hieght you want to make sure you have room to remove equipment for cleanning without being a pain.
Return pump - Look for something with energy efficient lots like the Ehiem pumps, I use a Water Blaster
Amount of sand to buy Depends on the look you want or depending on your stock list some may require a 2+ sandbed such as some wrasses
In tank pump/s ( would like wavemaking capability) - Lots love the Vortechs, I personally run Tunzes, also Koralia are popular also
Plumbing supplies for overflow and return - You'll be making a lot of trips to HD/Lowes

Some responses in red, what ever you do take your time and plan it out.

I moved to California about a year ago, but still follow BRS because there are so many helpful people who know how to do things right. I have plenty of time to set this tank up and am currently learning as much as I can. The tank will not see water before October. I'm moving in September to a house and then plan to set this tank up.

Building my own stand scares me. If my LED build or my sump is not just right, oh well. Coming home to 120 gallons of water and a smashed tank on the ground scares me too much. Plus it is only 5-600 dollars to not have to worry about that.

Thanks for the feedback so far and keep it coming.
