125 Acrylic tank build, need some advice.

My brother got me this free(to me) 125 gallon acrylic tank. It has a bunch of scratches in the front, but none of them are any deep(can't dig any part of my nail in them), they're mostly on the surface. What kind of sandpaper or what could I use to take care of them?. So far I've been told that some micro-mesh would take care of it and after I would need to apply some "HUT Ultra Gloss Plastic Polish" to finish up the scratches. Any advice on this?

The tank is already drilled in the left back side and I got some great advice from John from Sea Creature about the plumbing. I'm going to have 2 - 1" returns on each corner of the tank and 2 - 1" drain lines/overflows on each side of the tank as well. I'm going to use a 20 g long tank as a sump or probably a 55g I'm not sure yet. What return pump would be the best to use according to these plans with the plumbing. Would the return pump vary if I use either 20g or 55g tank as a sump or would it be a different pump according to the size of the sump? Would a regular drill bit work for acrylic or do I have to buy a bit for acrylic? I already have regular ones and want to make sure it won't damage the acrylic.

The tank has a blue background color, but I want to have it back color. The blue is inside the acrylic and there's no way of taking it off, so my only option would be painting the inside of the tank black. Is there any kind of paint recommended for this that will not chip underwater or damage my livestock/corals later on?

Sorry for all these questions, I'll upload some pics once I find my camera...

novus acrylic scratch remover and polish step 1/2/3
and regular hole saw is fine to drill acrylic

This is what I have in mind for the plumbing to and from the sump. Good, bad, ok?
