barry, you're not going to get THAT much blue from 2 24 watt actinics. At least not enough to warrant a bulb change.

How sub-par (pun intended) was your light at the sand?

I would have to agree. I added 80 watts of actinics and I can hardly tell when they are on. I figured it was a waste of energy to run them all day so they just come on for an hour before and and an hour after the MH.
