As stated in title. They are in excellent condition. 19” x 19”. No ballast. Single bulb. Pick up in Milton.

What’s old is new, they say. I’ve never had them but most users from early in the hobby say they grew corals like crazy. I’m not really concerned about heat but I’ll deal with it if it happens.

Planning on two, 250w 20k bulbs, with four t5’s as supplemental. 4x2x2 120 gallon tank.

With these reflectors I have everything, now the build begins!
 
That is an old school best setup.
 
Halides produce extreme growth. It's just the electric cost and heat that limit them these days. Can't wait to see the setup Kens Bees
 
Dong, you mentioned T5’s needing to run relatively cool to operate well. Were you talking specifically about the bulbs, or the ballasts?
Can the T5’s share the halide reflector and have their ballasts remote or will the t5 bulbs get cooked?
 
T5 operates most efficient at around 40 to 50F.
That is why the active cooled ATI t5 dominates the market.
The reflectors are important too, you need individual parabolic reflectors.

When t5 and halide are in the same chamber and share the reflector, like some Hamilton fixtures, the output is horrible.

So the answer is that t5 and halide need their own reflectors, otherwise the output will be horrible, like 50% less.

The ballast of t5 can be housed together with the t5 bulb, but not with metal halide bulbs. The heat from metal halide bulbs will destroy the t5 ballasts.
