I got so deep into building my tank and collecting the corals i’ve always wanted that i really didn’t take a lot of pictures of the setup process, so a build thread is out of the question. However, that doesn’t mean i can’t still show off what i have and hear what yall think! i love constructive criticism so feel free to leave any kinds of comments! ;)

For lighting i’m using a Kessil 180 Tuna Blue but i think i’ll be switching to a Kessil 360x Tuna Blue today. i still haven’t decided if i want to upgrade my display light and move the 180 to the new frag tank, or if i want better light spread for the frag tank. tbd

My tanks are set up side-by-side, but the macro tank acts as a manual sump. i control the pumps throughout the day to exchange water according to nutrient levels and other factors

This is the front view for the Macro, but the “Front” view for the Reef is the side of the tank. i have it facing my bed so that’s the direction it’s typically viewed from, and most pics are taken from, as well

I’m waiting on my frag tank to arrive, so please excuse the frag rack in the macro tank. typically it don’t have much for corals in there aside from GSP and some Zoas that i’ll let take over. The goal with the Macro tank is to have a natural looking reef with mostly NPS corals in it. maybe eventually seahorses or a cuttlefish, but that’ll be decided after a lot more research, and some equipment upgrades

Top view of the torch garden before i added three more yesterday! i still have a tiger on the way, but that’s the last torch for now! don’t think i have any more room :ROFLMAO:

I have a couple more zoas that are on a frag rack still. once i add them to the rockwork i’ll take some pics! definitely some really cool ones on there

If anyone has any questions about equipment, feeding, testing, etc. feel free to ask! i love talking about corals and learning new things from others

Better “front” view. frag racks, shroom boxes, and those Gold Maul Zoas at the bottom will be removed once the frag tank gets here

Nice looking nanos! I’m a big shroom lover with a couple nanos running at the moment as well. What type of light are you running? Is that the Kessil 360?

nice shrooms! is the yuma a godzilla? I really want one of those!

i need to post an update pic, but im running a Kessil A360X on my display tank and frag tank, and a Kessil A160WE + Kessil H80 Tuna Flora on my macro algae tank.

pics above are before i set up the frag tank and bought some better equipment. the display tank and macro tank are free of frag racks now and look so much nicer!
