OK, I've got two weeks off and I'd really like to redesign my 26 bowfront's filtration system. Currently, I run an Aqua C Nano hang on skimmer. I occasionally use a Marineland HOT canister for water polishing. I'd like to put in a small sump (really small - cabinet is 20" x 7" at it's most narrow on the inside.
My current inhabitants are a black ocellaris clown, a neon dottyback, about 35lbs of live rock, some zoas, candy cane, a couple of a**'t mushrooms, and some Kenyan tree.
Ideally, I'd like to put in a small home made sump with a skimmer, but again, my spacial restrictions are pretty significant. Should I go Berlin? Miracle Mud? Any/all suggestions would be most welcome - my brain's starting to bleed from reading too many practices and theories.
