50g cube stand opinion

A while ago I paid someone to make me a stand for a 50g cube, but back then I felt like I shouldn’t trust the stand itself since it seems more like it was made as a “cabinet” and not a stand. The material seems to be MDF board and not wood. I’m assuming I will have a ton of issues with this material and water.

Need some opinions if I should be ok using this stand, something I can do to reinforce it to make it safe, or just find someone to build one again.

I have never built a stand before, but I may be up to making one if I can find some good plans to follow.

I’d probably just reinforce the inside with 2x4’s if you’re worried about its integrity. There’s also a ton of videos online for diy fish stands if you don’t like the aesthetics of your current one.

Add reinforcement for peace of mind. Primer and paint the stand. Use a paint design for mdf.
